Our Story

There are places underneath the city. It runs through Dallas in creek beds most people cross without looking down. The water moves slow in summer, fast after rain. The rocks shift. Things surface that have been buried since before this land had a name.

Creatures that lived in a shallow inland sea that covered what is now Dallas, Texas — over 70 million years ago.

Creek Asylum is a home for objects that carry deep time in them — things that make you feel, even briefly, how long the world has been here and how quietly it keeps its records.

Come in. Look around. Take something home that was waiting to be found.
